Why this blog

This is not an attempt to showcase personal achievements or discourage would-be migrants from pursuing their dreams; rather the blog shares with the public the viewpoint of a professional who abandons a successful career

in his home country and heads for the United Kingdom. The intent is that this migrant’s true life story will aid persons planning to move to the UK or anywhere else in Europe make informed decisions and also learn a thing or two from the migrant's actions or omissions.
Along the way the blog with offer information based on experience to future migrants on how to make a hitch free transition to life in the UK.

The forum would also serve hopefully as a platform for persons of like mind to post comments on their experiences.

Government officials and the media in developing nations are quick to pass judgement on their countrymen who take flight when faced with belt-tightening conditions.

The non-professional or the individual with just a basic education not leaving behind a successful career or business in his country of origin would probably take little convincing to pack his bags and embark on the long haul journey to Europe.
The blog is aimed more at the individuals with some form of promise in their country and is faced with the dilemma of deciding whether to leave all behind and venture into the unknown; sometimes with nothing more that a few hundred dollars in hand.
